Light-skinned people seriously need to learn, bit by bit, day by day, to check their fucking privilege and decolonize their minds. And if y’all are ever caught being stuck up and flaunting your privilege, you deserve to be called on it. Evolve or die. No questions asked. No if’s, and’s or but’s about it.

Medium-toned people need to stop pulling this “I hate darks and lights equally” bullshit, because y’all have a fucking problem as well, being brown but not light or dark. Stop sitting on the fence in the discussion of colorism amongst our people. You are a part of this. And you can either evolve or die. No if’s, and’s or but’s about it.

Dark-skinned people, having no privilege in this arena, we need to learn to love ourselves more and more, but not make the mistake of turning our self-love into hatred of light-skinned people, and be called on our hatred if need be. Evolve or die. No questions asked. No if’s, and’s or but’s about it.

I care not for the color of your skin. If you’re Black, you’re Black. Being Black is an ethnocultural identity, not a Litmus Test for how dark or light your skin is.

I don’t think this person knows what “litmus test” means. Spot on with everything else though. I mean I’m not black and I can never understand what it is like to be, but I agree with the ideas behind this post. Can’t we all just shut the fuck up about the colour of our skin and get on with our lives?

zorascreation: I know what litmus test means. I just took liberties with it to suit the goings-on in Black culture. image

No, lackofimagination we can’t just “shut the fuck up about the colour of our skin and get on with our lives” because fuckers STAY reminding us not only of our color, but of what they think of it and us.  You say you’re down for the sentiments expressed but then you turn around and spout some colorblind bullshit that is the OPPOSITE of the sentiments expressed as well as attempt to insult the intelligence of the author of said sentiments.

Also, if you’re not Black then you really need to stay out of our conversations.  Hell, you need to keep your colorblind behind out of all discussions relating to racism.

Shit I’m Too Black For: Racism deniers and white people who include themselves in conversations between black people about colorism. Colorism is a direct result of white racism. Excuse yourself while we talk about how to fix our shit; we haven’t gotten to the part about how to fix you tho.

Have a fucking seat.
